Primitive and primordial in its influence, yet modern in its execution, Alice draws inspiration from her daily life and expresses her passion for animals and nature in her elegantly crafted jugs, vases, plates and tiles.
Alice was born in Pretoria, South Africa. After completing a Higher Diploma in Ceramic Design at the Technikon, Pretoria, she moved to Port Elizabeth where she set up a teaching and working studio.
In 2002 she relocated to England and opened a studio near Shipston-on-Stour.
Alice is a member of the Gallery @ the Guild, a co-operative in Chipping Campden, where she regularly exhibits with other Cotswold artists and craftspeople in the Old Silk Mill.
Alice works from her studio at Ditchford Farm where she exhibits in her own gallery and works to commissions. Her work can also be seen in selected galleries around the United Kingdom.
